Hubert Hurkacz
24-Year-Old
Wins biggest-career title in Miami
April 4, 2021
Hurkacz won 7-6 (4), 6-4 over Jannik Sinner in the final of Miami on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hurkacz captured by far the biggest title of his career as he bested the Italian teenager across 1 hour and 43 minutes in a victory that moved him into the Top 20 in the world. This marks the third title of the 24-year-old's career, and second of 2021, after he opened the season with a title in Delray Beach. Despite the absence of four of the top six players at the world at this Miami Open, Hurkacz still more than earned the title, as he defeated five seeded opponents while only losing a total of two sets.
