Returning to Prototype Competition
IMSA
December 9, 2019
Starworks Motorsport will return to prototype competition in 2020, having committed to a IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup program with Ryan Dalziel, John Farano and Heinemeier Hansson in an Oreca 07 Gibson LMP2 car. The Florida-based team will run under the Tower Motorsport by Starworks banner, sportscar365.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's great to see Starworks Motorsport stay involved in IMSA in the upcoming season. The team brought in additional driver, John Farano, and with him came sponsorship necessary to run the Endurance Cup schedule with an LMP2 car this season. Farano will be joined behind the wheel by sportscar veterans Dalziel and Heinemeier Hansson. It should be a very strong entry into the LMP2 class.
