No longer facing Vettori
March 16, 2020
Stewart's scheduled matchup against Marvin Vettori at UFC London appears to be cancelled following the event's relocation, MMAJunkie.com reports.
The UFC will be relocating the weekend's event, per an official statement, which leaves fighters like Stewart unable to secure travel plans on short notice, especially given the recently-imposed restrictions to combat the spread of COVID-19. Vettori is back in the US and looking to schedule a new opponent on short notice, so it's unclear if this matchup will come to fruition at a later date. Stewart had been a (+150) betting underdog for the proposed matchup.

Fighting on home soil
December 17, 2019
Stewart will face Marvin Vettori at UFC London on March 21, MMAJunkie.com reports.
Stewart was born and raised in London, though he lost his only UFC fight in his hometown back in 2017. After failing to record a win in his first four UFC matches, he's since gone on to win four of his last five. His opponent, Vettori, is coming off two wins in a row.
Concerns remain despite win
October 18, 2019
Stewart defeated Deron Winn via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Friday in Boston.
It's rare that a fighter gives up six successful takedowns and lives to tell about it, but Winn has joined that select group and did so after securing a portion of Stewart's purse after the later missed weight on Thursday. Stewart was the far better striker of the two -- he dropped Winn with a huge shot at the very end of Round 2 before Winn was saved by the bell and won the significant strike battle by a 57-9 count -- but the poor takedown defense is a concern. Through nine UFC bouts, Stewart has found himself on the mat a whopping 22 times. Given that number, it's a minor miracle Stewart's career record with the company is .500 (4-4, 1NC). "The Dentist" won't have a prayer against better competition unless he improves in that area.
Agrees to fight heavy opponent
October 17, 2019
Stewart will still fight Deron Winn at UFC Boston on Friday after Winn weighed in at 188.5 pounds, 2.5 pounds over the middleweight limit, John Morgan of MMA Junkie reports.
Stewart is coming off a win against Bevon Lewis via unanimous decision at UFC 238 in June, and will now fight a heavy opponent at UFC Boston. Winn was fined 20 percent of his purse as a result of missing weight. Winn has a 6-0 record as a professional fighter heading into the bout.
Pinned against Deron Winn
August 7, 2019
Stewart has been booked to take on Deron Winn at UFC Boston on October 18, Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com reports.
After struggling to begin his time under the UFC banner, Stewart has appeared to finally find his rhythm over the last year. After going 0-3-1 in his first four fights with the promotion, Stewart has fought four times since May of 2018 and gone 3-1. He most recently defeated Bevon Lewis via unanimous decision at UFC 238 back in June.
Does enough to win
June 8, 2019
Stewart defeated Bevon Lewis via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27) at UFC 238 on Saturday in Chicago.
Stewart came out looking to land power strikes. He landed a few hard leg kicks to start the fight, and then Lewis went to the clinch. For the rest of the fight, Stewart was tentative to advance, because he did not want to deal with the clinch. Lewis was tentative to come forward, because he wanted to avoid power strikes. That was the rest of the fight. Stewart was the one moving forward, so the judges gave him the decision. Stewart really needed a win, but this was not an inspiring victory.
