Can't get on track in Boston
October 18, 2019
Bochniak lost to Sean Woodson via unanimous decision (26-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Friday in Boston.
Fighting is his native Massachusetts wasn't enough to get Bochniak back on track. Limited athletically and relying on grit and determination to be successful, Bochniak landed 1-of-15 takedown attempts. That is not a misprint. He knew he had nothing on the feet for Woodson so he repeatedly tried to get the bout to the mat. It did not work. Bochniak looked surprisingly competent in a unanimous decision loss to rising star Zabit Magomedsharipov in April 2018, but he has regressed considerably since. The 32-year-old has lost three straight and is sporting a 2-5 record in his first seven UFC bouts.

Set to face Woodson on Oct. 18
September 4, 2019
Bochniak is set to face Sean Woodson at UFC Boston on Oct. 18, reports.
Bochniak, who currently holds a 2-4 UFC record, has lost his last two matches including the most recent being at UFC 231 to Hakeem Dawodu via unanimous decision. With the fight scheduled for UFC Boston, Bochniak will get the opportunity to fight at home and, of course, get back on track with a win.
Falls to 2-4 in UFC after Saturday's setback
December 8, 2018
Bochniak lost to Hakeem Dawodu via split decision (27-30, 29-28, 27-30) at UFC 231 on Saturday in Toronto.
No disrespect to Bochniak, but that 29-28 scorecard is about the worst you will ever see. "Crash" gets by on grit and determination and that isn't going to play when you enter the octagon with a world-class athlete such as Dawodu. Now sporting a 2-4 record in his first six UFC bouts, Bochniak is closer to being released than he is to impacting the featherweight title picture.
Locks in fight vs. Hakeem Dawodu
August 30, 2018
Bochniak will fight Hakeem Dawodu at UFC 231 on Dec. 8.
Bochniak put up a good fight against Zabit Magomedsharipov the last time out, but ultimately took the unanimous decision loss, which dropped him to 1-2 over his last three matchups. It won't get much easier in December, as Bochniak matches up with Dawodu, who's won three of his last four fights. Dawodu has six knockouts in eight career victories, so Bochniak will have to avoid the heavy hand in this one. Dawodu also has the slight height and reach advantage at 5-foot-8 and 73 inches compared to Bochniak's 5-foot-7 frame and 70-inch reach.
Pushes the pace against Zabit Magomedsharipov but drops decision at UFC 223
April 7, 2018
Bochniak lost to Zabit Magomedsharipov via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 223 on Saturday in New York City.
Bochniak was up against it in this fight. Magomedsharipov is a very gifted striker. He scored early and often with exotic strikes. To his credit, Bochniak never gave up and continued to bring the fight to his opponent. He continued to push forward. Even though he ate strikes, he came forward and tried to land counters. In the end, this will go down on a loss on his record. However, if he continues to fight like this, he will have more than his share of UFC fans.
Big underdog at UFC 223
April 4, 2018
Bochniak will face Zabit Magomedsharipov in a featherweight matchup during the Fight Pass early prelims of UFC 223 on Saturday in Brooklyn.
Bochniak is 2-2 under the UFC banner, with all four fights going to the judges. He sports just a 65 percent takedown defense, which could be a huge problem against Magomedsharipov, who recorded 11 takedowns the last time he graced the Octagon. If Bochniak is going to last, he'll want to get in the clinch, as Magomedsharipov is six inches taller with a three-inch reach advantage, and will likely look to use his long limbs to his advantage. Crazier things have happened in the UFC, but Bochniak sits as a (+450) betting underdog or greater, depending on the sportsbook, as of Wednesday afternoon.
