Max Jones
22-Year-Old Left WingLW
Anaheim Ducks
2019 Fantasy Outlook
Jones earned his first NHL call-up in January, recording two goals and three assists in 30 games with Anaheim. The 2016 first-round pick also added 33 points in 51 games with AHL San Diego last season. Jones wasn't expected to make much of an impact with the parent club last year, but he'll one of many prospects who will have a chance to earn ice time in 2019-20. The 21-year-old winger will compete for a bottom-six role during training camp, but it wouldn't be surprising to seem him begin the year in the minors. Either way, he won't have enough offensive upside to be considered a viable option in the vast majority of fantasy formats this campaign. Read Past Outlooks

ANALYSIS
Anaheim's first-round pick in 2016 (24th overall) didn't do much to turn any heads in 2019-20. Jones' 102 shots on goal ranked fifth among all Ducks forwards, which could be spun as a positive, but any prospective owners out there would love to see him start scoring goals at better than a 7.8 percent clip. Nonetheless, the 22-year-old will likely jump back into the team's middle six next season as he continues to develop at the NHL level.
