Sees first carries in Sun Bowl

Flowers ran the ball 11 times for 31 yards in the Sun Bowl against Florida State on Tuesday.
Flowers didn't record a carry entering the bowl game, but the freshman wound up as the team's second rushing option behind quarterback Jayden Daniels after the primary ballcarrier for the season, Eno Benjamin, chose to sit out the game and prepare for the NFL draft. It wasn't the most impressive outing, as he averaged just 2.8 yards per carry, but he also held onto the football, unlike fellow freshman rusher A.J. Carter. With Benjamin leaving, Flowers will have a chance to challenge for the top rushing spot this offseason.
