Available versus Minneota
QBMaryland
October 22, 2019
Jackson (ankle) will be available for Saturday's game against Minnesota, Patrick Stevens of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson didn't work with the starters last Saturday despite being dressed for warmups. Tyrell Pigrome played reasonably well last week against Indiana and an announcement has yet to be made on who will get the starting nod under center versus the Golden Gophers. Either way, Jackson should be good to go if called upon.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Jackson had a minor eligibility scare earlier in the spring, but he’s been cleared to remain on the team and he’s expected to be under center for the season opener. He put up outstanding passing totals last year as a freshman, throwing for 2,991 yards and 20 touchdowns to nine interceptions, and he tacked on 324 rushing yards along with six scores. The Hokies rank near the middle of the pack with regard to their passing attack, averaging 240.9 yards per game through the air in 2017 (ranked 56th in FBS) which is likely to provide Jackson with plenty of opportunities to make plays. In addition, Virginia Tech’s aggressive up-tempo offense figures to benefit the young gunslinger.
