Let go by Winnipeg
QBFree Agent
February 3, 2020
The Blue Bombers released Streveler on Monday, CFL.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
The decision comes as little surprise after Winnipeg extended Zach Collaros following the team's Grey Cup title, signaling that the organization views him as its top signal-caller entering 2020. Collaros will now head into the upcoming season without any competition for the starting job, as Winnipeg also released former No. 1 quarterback Matt Nichols (shoulder) less than a week ago. Streveler has been in communication with NFL teams this offseason and will look to land a backup job at the sport's highest level.
