Sean Darcy
Hoping to be ready for Round 1
RFremantle Dockers
Knee
March 4, 2021
Darcy suffered a knee injury but hopes to be available for Round 1 versus Melbourne, the AFL's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Darcy figures to handle primary duties in the ruck for Fremantle again this season when healthy, but it sounds as though his status for the opener is still up in the air. More information on his status should surface come the week of the opener.
Sam Sturt
Likely out for Round 1
MFremantle Dockers
Ankle
March 3, 2021
Sturt (ankle) isn't expected to be available for the Dockers' Round 1 clash versus Melbourne, Braden Quartermaine of The West Australian reports.
ANALYSIS
Stur's ankle injury drags on from last season and leaves him frustrated as the 2021 campaign approaches. It remains to be seen exactly when he will be cleared for game action, but it doesn't sound as though he will necessarily be sidelined too long.
Sean Darcy
Strong finish as Dockers bow out
RFremantle Dockers
September 21, 2020
Darcy ended with 15 disposals (four kicks, 11 handballs), two marks, one tackle, one goal and one behind in Sunday's 74-44 loss to the Western Bulldogs.
ANALYSIS
Darcy capped off a strong season with another impressive display in the ruck. He ends the season as the seventh ranked player in terms of total hitouts and hitouts per game. Having established himself as the primary center man for the Dockers, Darcy will look to build on his production next season and certainly looks to be a long-term option in the middle.
Caleb Serong
Ends season on a high
MFremantle Dockers
September 21, 2020
Serong tallied 25 disposals (13 kicks, 12 handballs), six tackles and four marks in Sunday's 74-44 loss to the Bulldogs.
ANALYSIS
Serong had arguably his finest performance of the season, putting up career-high numbers in both disposals and inside-50s. He played 14 games in his rookie season and finishes inside the top-5 among rising stars in multiple categories. Given what we saw from him this season, Serong figures to be a big part of the Dockers' future and could be a valuable fantasy asset as soon as next season.
Travis Colyer
Late addition in Round 18
FFremantle Dockers
September 20, 2020
Colyer was added to the lineup for Sunday's game against the Bulldogs.
ANALYSIS
Colyer will take over for Matt Taberner's spot in the lineup for Sunday's season finale. It will be Colyer's ninth match of the season.
Matt Taberner
Late withdraw in Round 18
FFremantle Dockers
September 20, 2020
Taberner was a late withdraw from Sunday's game against the Bulldogs.
ANALYSIS
It is unclear why Taberner was withdrawn before Sunday's contest, but he will be replaced by Travis Colyer nonetheless.
Reece Conca
Returning to starting lineup
DFremantle Dockers
September 19, 2020
Conca (hamstring) is back in the starting lineup for the Dockers' Round 18 match against the Bulldogs.
ANALYSIS
Conca missed last round's match with the Kangaroos due to a hamstring injury but fortunately will be able to take the field once more Sunday before the regular season comes to a close. He averages a respectable 13.4 disposals and 9.4 kicks per match and will attempt to help the Dockers come out on top in their final game of 2020.
Sam Switkowski
Injures hamstring
FFremantle Dockers
Hamstring
September 15, 2020
Switkowski suffered a hamstring injury last week and will not return in 2020.
ANALYSIS
Switkowski seemed to be finally be working his way back from a back issue that cost him nearly all of 2020, but a setback in another area will prevent him from taking the field at all this season.
Taylin Duman
Quiet in Saturday's win
DFremantle Dockers
September 12, 2020
Duman tallied 15 disposals (eight kicks, seven handballs) and two marks in Saturday's 99-35 victory over the Kangaroos.
ANALYSIS
Duman recorded double-digit disposals for the sixth time in his last seven games but failed to do anything else in the victory. The Dockers are all but out of the finals race; however, they have looked much better to finish out the season and they have a strong young core coming through, Duman included.
James Aish
Strong production continues Saturday
FFremantle Dockers
September 12, 2020
Aish ended with 23 disposals (13 kicks, 10 handballs), four tackles and three marks in Saturday's 99-35 victory over North Melbourne.
ANALYSIS
Aish was one the Dockers' best in their comprehensive victory, his second straight game with over 20 disposals. He has played in all but two of the Dockers games this season and despite a few inconsistencies, his production has been more than adequate. His fantasy ceiling is somewhat limited, although a reasonable price tag does make him a serviceable option.
Jesse Hogan
Boots four goals in easy victory
DFremantle Dockers
September 12, 2020
Hogan finished with six disposals (five kicks, one handball), four marks, four goals and one tackle in Saturday's 99-35 victory over the Kangaroos.
ANALYSIS
Hogan not only kicked his first goal of the season in the victory, but he also made the most of the flimsy defense with four majors. It has been a rough season for Hogan who has managed just six games thus far. After missing almost 12 months with a foot injury, Hogan recently battled a calf issue before stringing together three games on the trot.
Griffin Logue
Off injury list
DFremantle Dockers
September 11, 2020
Logue (toe) has returned to full training, Chris Correia of the AFL's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Logue appears to be over the toe issue that previously bothered him, but he's not included in the team's lineup for Saturday's clash with North Melbourne. He will have one more chance to play before the season conclude. Otherwise, he will turn his focus to 2021.
Reece Conca
Ruled out Saturday
DFremantle Dockers
Hamstring
September 11, 2020
Conca will not play Saturday versus North Melbourne due to a hamstring injury.
ANALYSIS
Given that there is just one more game remaining in the Dockers' 2020 campaign, there is a decent chance Conca has played his last match. If that's the case, he finishes out the year having amassed 188 disposals, 43 marks and 36 tackles over 13 matches.
Adam Cerra
Career best performance Monday
DFremantle Dockers
September 7, 2020
Cerra produced 30 disposals (13 kicks, 17 handballs), three marks, two tackles, one goal and one behind in Monday's 47-33 victory over the Demons.
ANALYSIS
Cerra produced one of the best performances of his career in the victory, reaching 30 disposals for the very first time. The defender added a handful of supporting stats as he ventured into the midfield on more than one occasion. The wet conditions certainly favored those with their ability to get their hands on the ball around the ruck and Cerra led from the front in that regard.
Michael Walters
Firm-footed in slippery conditions
FFremantle Dockers
September 7, 2020
Walters totaled 11 disposals (seven kicks, four handballs), four tackles, three goals and one behind in Monday's 47-33 victory over the Demons.
ANALYSIS
On a night in which goals were hard to come by, Walters led the way with three majors. it marked a season-high for the dynamic forward, although his disposal count was a little disappointing. He often floats between the forward line and the midfield, thus his inconsistent production in terms of disposals. It was the Dockers' sixth win of the season and despite being out of the race for the finals, they certainly have a lot to build off after a slow start to the season.
Nathan Fyfe
Improves despite loss
MFremantle Dockers
September 2, 2020
Fyfe scored one behind while also logging 23 disposals (14 kicks, nine handballs) in addition to making five marks and winning nine clearances during Wednesday's 56-29 loss to Richmond.
ANALYSIS
Fyfe had a dismal performance in the loss to GWS but looked better during a tough match in this Round. With more options finally starting to appear around Fyfe, he and his teammates could be capable of some good results as the season comes to a close.
Caleb Serong
Better in loss
MFremantle Dockers
September 2, 2020
Serong collected 22 disposals (17 kicks, five handballs) while also making five tackles and completing six marks during Wednesday's 56-29 loss to Richmond.
ANALYSIS
Serong has alternated good and poor games throughout August, and this match stuck to his trend but with a better personal result. He set a new season high for marks in a Round while also contributing well to other areas of the match. He's still a young player and while he may not be most reliable this season, he's shown promise for the future.
Blake Acres
Strong in loss
MFremantle Dockers
September 2, 2020
Acres logged 27 disposals (15 kicks, 12 handballs) in addition to making six marks and completing five tackles during Wednesday's 56-29 loss to Richmond.
ANALYSIS
Acres has been in and out of the lineup over the past two months but was finally able to make a real impact in a match. Though his team wasn't able to secure the win in the end, Acres showed that the Dockers do have some real fight to them, even against top opponents. Though he doesn't have much time to prove he can do this consistently, Acres will have some good matchups to finish the season strong.
Travis Colyer
Labeled emergency
FFremantle Dockers
September 1, 2020
Colyer (hamstring) has been named an emergency for Wednesday's match versus Richmond.
ANALYSIS
While he wasn't included in the 22, Colyer's listing as an emergency is a sign that the hamstring issue is in his past. He has appeared in eight games for the Dockers this season, so Colyer should remain in the mix for a spot in the lineup moving forward.
Luke Ryan
Ready for Wednesday
DFremantle Dockers
September 1, 2020
Ryan (hip) is in the lineup for Wednesday's match versus Richmond.
ANALYSIS
Ryan exited Saturday's match with a bruised hip but appears to have avoided any major damage. He won't miss any further action as a result and is set to slot in as a half-back alongside Stephen Hill and Taylin Duman.
Brett Bewley
Out with groin complaint
FFremantle Dockers
Groin
September 1, 2020
Bewley will miss Wednesday's game against Richmond due to a groin injury.
ANALYSIS
Fortunately, the issue has been labeled minor, so it sounds as though Bewley won't be unavailable very long. While he doesn't have a ton of big games under his belt from a fantasy standpoint, he did tally his fifth goal of the season against GWS last Saturday and is averaging more than three marks per contest.
Rory Lobb
Offers little in big loss
FFremantle Dockers
August 29, 2020
Lobb managed just seven disposals (four kicks, three handballs), two tackles and two marks in Saturday's 93-51 loss to Greater Western Sydney.
ANALYSIS
Lobb was unable to have a sizeable impact in the loss, continuing his run of limited productivity. Despite an underwhelming season from a numbers standpoint, Lobb currently ranks third in the league in contested marks. The loss all but rules the Dockers out of postseason football and they can begin looking towards the 2021 season.
David Mundy
Tops tackle count in loss Saturday
MFremantle Dockers
August 29, 2020
Mundy totaled 24 disposals (12 kicks, 12 handballs), eight tackles and five marks in Saturday's 93-51 loss to the Giants.
ANALYSIS
With Nat Fyfe well handled, Mundy stood up for the Dockers, topping both the tackle and disposal count. Unfortunately, they were outplayed all over the field, catching the Giants on the upswing as they build towards the finals. Mundy has been fantastic over the past month and typically puts up valuable numbers in most games.
Luke Ryan
Leaves match with bruised hip
DFremantle Dockers
Hip
August 29, 2020
Ryan suffered a bruised hip during Saturday's match against the Giants and would not return.
ANALYSIS
Ryan laid out to make a catch and ended up landing hard on his left hip while appearing to be in a significant amount of pain. Ryan was unable to return to the match and could be in danger of missing Wednesday's contest against the Tigers.
Sam Switkowski
Set for scratch match
FFremantle Dockers
August 25, 2020
Switkowski (back) will play limited minutes in a scratch match this week.
ANALYSIS
Switkowski is set for his first AFL action of 2020 following a prolonged issue with his back. The 23-year-old forward played a significant role for the Dockers last season, racking up 205 disposals, 88 tackles and six goals.
